You can find out more on April 20, 2009 when Heather and I will be on blogtalkradio, Monday noon Pacific three Eastern time, talking about Podioracket. What is happening now? Can you keep up?

Thursday, April 9th, 2009

Welcome Readers!

I have been swamped with editing for www.podioracket.com. Episode 3 just went live and there was a great interview with Michael McGee author of The Theater of the Midnight Sun! Love his sense of humor and I had a wonderful time interviewing him. There is also an article on Public Domain from David Grizzly Smith and a tip from E.G. Talbot author of New World Orders and Intercast Season One. The podcast has been approved by Itunes and you can subscribe there or rss it on the site. We want your feedback so please leave a review, comment rate the show and tell your friends.

Hey all you podiobooks.com authors out there we need to unit against Nina Kimberly the Merciless. Talk to your characters. We need a champion for our opposing force unless that is you plan on surrendering your fans and freedom on the Internet to the adolescent barbarian horde and allow to pledge your feelty to Nina Kimberly. We at PodioRacket are preparing to meet with her Scribe Christiana Ellis and will be updating you on the pending invasion. Join the cause @podioracket on Twitter. Or send us a confidential communication at contact@podioracket.com.

I have also been working on the new book website www.themarkofadruid.com. It is coming along and while it is not all up yet it is growing daily. I invite you all to go over and register for the new site. There will be a new contest announced on the 13th.

If that is not enough to keep me busy I am preparing for the HorrorAddicts.net next season Wicked Women Writers contest. More on that later as it goes live in Season 3!

Now off to work on the site for a while thanks for keeping up!

What is New with Rhonda Carpenter

Update on what has been happing in the world of Rhonda Carpenter the writer. Things have been rolling along at a very fast clip. The new site for The Mark of a Druid is live and while it is not complete I thought it was better to take it live now then make everyone wait. So you will all get to see it grow as I get to filling in all the blanks and building the pages. Register now so you can play in the contests and talk to the characters as it all goes live.

This will be a slow process with all of the things I am involved in, but stick with me this proves to be a fun. The site will be growing every week from here on out and as the next book is completed it too will be housed here as a podcast and in other formats.

Summer 2009 I am dedicated to getting The Mark of a Druid available in other media formats such as PDF, E-book (on this site), I-Touch. I will be making announcements as these formats become available.

I am also dedicated to writing the next book, When Ethers Descend, and begin Podcasting the book this winter.

My new project www.Podioracket.com I have joined forces with Heather Roulo the author of, Fractured Horizon, available on Podiobooks.com. Podioracket is an informational podcast for Podiobooks.com. We are giving upcoming, new and present authors a quick hitting format to find out what it is coming out, completing, works. We are also covering the contests and news about those authors. We invite you to enjoy the 2 episodes that are currently available.

While doing this project I am getting to have wonderful and informative interviews with authors who are on Podiobooks.com. While PodioRacket is a fast hitting show some of these interviews run longer than we can use in the podcast. These are fascinating discussions with Authors. Here is one of the longer full interviews I had with author of, The Fox, Arlene Radasky. A portion of this interview will also be in an upcoming show on podioracket.

Have a great week everyone!

Friday, March 13th, 2009

Dear Podiobooks.com authors, upcoming authors and their devoted fans,

We’re announcing Podioracket.com, a podcast dedicated to Podiobooks.com authors and their releases.  We want to be the natural place people go for your announcements, promotional events, tips, and to hear the first interviews as novels debut on Podiobooks.com.

We have a rough cut of our first episode, but there’s still time to add a few timely announcements.  We’ll also accept your input for future episodes (releasing roughly every two weeks but it will depend on the number of interviews and releases on the Podiobooks.com calendar.)

Help us raise a racket about you and Podiobooks.com.  Here’s what we’re looking for:

1)      Interviews with new authors:  This is the core of the show- speak to Podiobooks.com listeners and get them to give your book a try as it comes out.  See our site for submission guidelines. We’ll time your interviews close to your release date so you build a buzz.

2)      Announcements: News on awards, contests, timely promotions, and publishing announcements from all Podiobooks.com authors.  Let us know what’s happening with you!  We’ll stockpile these.

3)      Tips: We’d love to have the voices of experienced Podiobooks.com authors as part of the show.  Send us an audio clip with your advice to future writers and podcasters and we’ll play it.  Keep the tip less than 2 minutes. Send us an email with your tip idea first so that we don’t get duplicates: contact@podioracket.com.

4)      Completed authors: We want to hear from you when you start, but we also want to acknowledge the completion of a book.  Stay in touch, let us know when your book completes and join in the racket!

We hope you love this idea as much as we do.  Check us out, ask us questions, follow us on twitter @podioracket, and let’s all work together to let listeners know more about the people making Podiobooks.com happen.

Welcome Readers!

This week I uploaded the last chapter (episode 33) in Book One of The Mark of a Druid Series!

Next week will be the final upload for this podcast. I will be producing this week the first chapter for When Ethers Descend. This is the next book in the series. And while it is not yet wholly written, I wanted you all to get a taste for book two.

What is next for The Mark of a Druid?

A larger presence as a PDF and other formats is in order! I hope to even catch up with Arlene Radasky’s The Fox, and make it to iphone and digital formats.

I also ask for listener help last week on www.themarkofadruid.com I meant it and wanted to say thank you to all of the listeners that commented both live and in email form. Thank you! I have taken your comments seriously and have reproduced episode 1 and 2 this week. They are now live. I hope they are better. I will be reproducing episode 3 this week and I hope I will be able to maintain the schedule this week and have it live on Sunday afternoon. But either way I want to you know your comments are greatly appreciated and I am doing something about the stilted speaking patterned you all noticed in the first 3 episodes along with Quality. These were the episodes I recorded in my old office so unless there is something else you guys notice these will be the only ones I redo. This pod cast novel has been a huge learning experience for me and I am thrilled that it is getting such great reviews again keep them coming. And if you know someone who prefers to read the book is available at Amazon!

Now for the what’s next? Section a new colleague and I are working on a podcasting idea and when it is firmed up I’ll be share it. Until then, know I am writing every day! YES! It feels great! This Week’s Recommendation: I suggest you go nab Fractured Horizon By H.E. Roulo. She is a wonderful author and her book is now complete and free for you to enjoy. It is a hot story that has a logical and fun plot line. Technology and cloning a race of superior warriors called the Adams vs. the Royals who have some very interesting capabilities themselves. And Kay her main character, is someone I have had a blast flowing through time with. Don’t miss this one go to Podiobooks.com and get all the episodes now. You won’t be disappointed, I loved it and am now looking forward to listening again straight through!

Visit her blog at Fractured Horizon Novel’s official site!
